The Good Hair Blog Protective Style Challenge- Update!

Hey Natural Hair ladies! The first two weeks, i had my hair in smedium (small/medium) twists.i wore them pinned in an updo. i cowashed after the first week and it gave me MAJOR shrinkage!

Then, shorytly after, i braided my hair.Box Braids! so far, i've made two weeks!

Protective Style Challenge Week 1- Twists

 So unlike all the other natural ladies, i started a few days late. I deep conditioned my hair last night and did a black tea rinse on my hair before i moisturized with cantu shea butter leave-in conditioner and pure shea butter.here are the results...hopefully i can keep these in for two weeks then i'll move on to my box braids...

ONE YEAR NATURAL!!

 Today is officially one year that i cut off all my permed ends and declared myself 100% natural. This has been an amazing year as far as my hair is concerned with me trimming my hair about 1/4 in only twice! i've had no setbacks and i hope to continue on in this second year the same!

 I'll update this post tonight with more comparison shots. Also, today marks the start of Alex's from The Good Hair Blog Protective Style Challenge. What a good way to start my second year...with protective styles right? well i'll be keeping updates on this blog for the next 12 weeks...
