How Important Do you Think Education Is?
I'm sure I'll sound foolish to some but this is my opinion soooo...
Honestly, i don't think Education is as important as the economy makes it. I mean now, you have to have at LEAST a bachelor's degree for most jobs..and I'm saying, McDonald's is not worth a damn degree. Education is a system where the higher you are in that system, the better and i just don't believe that's true.
Now, i do value my education, don't get me wrong. It's a privilege but its not a direct influence to one's happiness and success.

ReplyDeleteI agree that you don't need an education for happiness/success, bc there are self-starts and people out there who make things happen for themselves without a degree. however, i do think that with certain fields, you need education for elevation. even experience can lead to stagnant spot in your career where you'll eventually be asked to take on some type of training or to get certified. You know?

Interesting post! I think I wanna do this challenge next! I must say that I feel education is very important. But I do believe there is a difference between education and formal training. Society teaches us that lots of expensive formal training is necessary for survival. And while I am excited about obtaining another college degree next year, life experience and education through different conferences, workshops, and self-teaching have taught me skills that have really boosted my finances.
ReplyDeleteI guess whether education (and what type) plays an important factor in one's life depends on how they determine success and happiness. If success is the equivalent of access into the corporate world, adequate formal training would be ideal.
